Now entering … blogosphere!

 

Over a year ago I succumbed to the staggering societal pressure bearing down on me and began a MySpace page, but quickly became disillusioned with the ubiquitous racy ads, spam messages and all around clutter found on the site.  Not to mention the fact that media baron and all around potential Anti-Christ Rupert Murdoch - proprietor of a sizeable portion of the media you consume (with a brand new notch on his belt … how can you not love this guy!) – owns the social networking site so many call home.  And though I still have the MySpace page and, on occasion, am prone to check out what’s going on or if I have any new friend requests from people I’ve actually met; I nonetheless felt compelled to move on to greener world wide pastures.

Thus, this blog.

I’ve often lamented that I need a voice, the means to be heard, because doggonit I’ve got something to say!  A truly arrogant assertion, to be sure.  But now with the advent of Web 2.0 and the wonders of blogging, everyone can have a voice!  So, for better or for worse, I now join the millions who believe that their prattling is important to someone other than, perhaps, themselves.
