Music Lovin’ 2: The Khrusty Brothers

The Khrusty Brothers

This album was a rare gem that I didn’t see coming at all.  It is, in fact, a side project by the alumni of the above-mentioned Waterdeep.  In a MySpace post early this year, Don referenced the Khrusty Brothers, a group of siblings from the Appalachian Mountains who had requested of Don some production work for an album they were working on.  As stories like this go of course it ends up that the Brothers Khrusty are, in fact, Don and two other guys from Waterdeep.  The result is a mashup of acoustic twang mountain music and electronic with a little Appalachian hip-hoppery thrown in for good measure.
